Hello

Hello! My name is Alexandrea but many people call me Alex. I am a native English
speaker from the United States, and currently I'm living in Sunny Florida, USA. I work as a full time teacher at a local school in my town here in Florida. I have worked in the
Education field for almost 10 years, working with various age groups from Kindergarten
to High School, ages 4 to 18 years of age. I've worked with so many students coming
from different countries, such as China, Mexico, Columbia, South Korea, and from all over  Europe, helping them to learn to speak, read, and write English. I love working with children and adults, and I have such a passion for teaching! I love to see students enjoy the results of their hard work.
 

Education
I have a Bachelor's degree in Methods and Principles of Language Education, as well as various certificates focused on teaching English to non-native speakers, such as TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate) and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificates. I'm also certified in teaching Business English to adult learners.

All students are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow, learn, practice, and master what they learn. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I want their learning experience to be fun, but also highly effective so that they walk away from the lesson with a good grasp of what they've learned. Students need the opportunity to practice what they've learned, so I encourage my students to talk and use this new language they are learning, because using the language is the best way to learn it and master it.

Not only do I love to teach English, and see students grow and use their new vocabulary, to hear them using new sentences they've learned, I too love to learn languages, and learn about various cultures. I enjoy learning about my students, where they're from, and interesting things about their culture. I like to have fun with my students, and I love to see them succeed.

The best way to learn English is first make sure you are consistently coming to class and ready to learn. Second, be sure that you are using the language that you learn in class. Use what you learn in class with your family and friends, and talk as much as you can in English throughout the day. Third, I encourage you to get books that are written in English and READ READ READ! Reading is a great way to improve your English speaking skills. Last, watch cartoons and movies in English.
